The 2013 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will be a showcase for customized Victory Motorcycles. Expect to see beautiful, creative customs built by pros such as Scott Kietzmann at Conquest Customs
, Tim Sutherland and the crew at Coastal Victory
/HotVic.com, and the legendary team of Arlen, Cory and Zach Ness.
You’ll also see customs like this unique Kingpin customized and ridden by Matt and Cyndi Thornton of Boise, Idaho.
Yes, that’s real wood on the fuel tank and the reupholstered saddlebags!
• Visit the Victory Sturgis Event Page for details about Victory activities at Sturgis and to register for the Aug. 8 Victory Ride and Victory Owners’ Party.
Matt and Cyndi co-own and operate Parks Royal Body Works
, a full-service body shop in Boise, and they figured if you can apply wood to a vehicle like a vintage station wagon or van, why not to a Victory motorcycle?
So Matt added some real wood trim to the 2006 Kingpin that he and Cyndi rode to Sturgis in 2012. The bike also features custom paint from their shop, custom seats, recovered saddlebags, and a wood graphic wrap on the headlight.
Join Victory riders for the 2013 Victory Ride and Victory Owners’ Party at Sturgis and you’ll see hundreds of incredible customs like this one – and like those featured at the Buffalo Chip CrossRoads
The CrossRoads is where Conquest Customs will be set up, with Scott showing off his Conquest bikes and accessories, and doing custom work and performance work on-site.
Tim Sutherland and the Coastal gang will also be at the CrossRoads on Thursday, Aug. 8, the day of the unique Beauty and the Beast Custom Contest
Tim and his team will square off against three other custom builders, assembling a custom that day while on the clock – and also having to help a painter apply the image of their custom to a bikini model. (Read the article at the link for details.)
Whether you’ve added some chrome Victory Accessories, had your bike custom painted, or had it tricked out by master custom builders like Arlen, Cory and Zach Ness, ride it proudly at Sturgis.
We’ll see you there.
