An incredible Cross Country custom styled by master custom builder Cory Ness was unveiled recently at the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) in Long Beach, California, and is the grand prize in the 2013 Sturgis Rider Sweepstakes promoted by the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. Victory provided the bike Cory customized for the sweepstakes.
The grand prize winner will be announced onstage at the Buffalo Chip during the 2013 Sturgis rally. Along with winning the fantastic Cross Country custom, the winner will receive an Epiphone Les Paul Studio electric guitar, which Cory customized to match the bike.
“I’m thrilled to be the builder of the 2013 Sturgis Rider Sweepstakes bike,” Cory said at the IMS in Long Beach. “We ride our Victory motorcycles every year from California to Sturgis,” he said, referring to himself, his father – legendary customizing icon Arlen Ness – and Cory’s son Zach, an up-and-coming custom builder. The three are Victory styling consultants and have a Victory dealership in Dublin, California.
“We are excited that Cory Ness has built one of the coolest Victory Cross Countrys and matching Epiphone guitars we have ever seen as the Sturgis Rider Sweepstakes grand prize,” said Sturgis Buffalo Chip Owner Rod Woodruff.

The Cross Country Custom
The Cross Country custom features a hand-fabricated, stretched fuel tank and innovative rear fender that hosts a LePera custom solo seat. The front end features an extra 6 degrees of rake and the new Arlen Ness 23” G3 front wheel. The bike also has Modular handlebars, Power LED lighting, numerous Ness accessories and a paint scheme personally styled by Cory Ness. He applied the same paint scheme to the Epiphone Les Paul Studio guitar.
The bike also features a premium and powerful audio system provided by KICKER, another sweepstakes sponsor.
The audio system includes an amp, fairing- and saddlebag-mounted speakers, an iPod connection and a guitar hook-up so the winner can play the Epiphone guitar directly through the bike’s powerful KICKER audio system.
The Cross Country is a Victory bagger that combines Victory power and performance with outstanding comfort for one or two riders and the convenience of spacious hard saddlebags. The complete collection of 2013 Victory baggers can be found

The Epiphone Les Paul Studio Guitar
The Epiphone Les Paul Studio guitar that also will be presented to the grand prize winner, is a variation of Les Paul’s classic dream guitar. Introduced in the early 1980s, the Epiphone Les Paul Studio is a classic that remains a favorite of musicians today.
