Matt Davis, a Victory Rider from Arizona, had a summer to remember in 2011, and most of the highlights came on a long, long journey on his Cross Country.

He sent a couple photos to the Victory Mailbag, including the photo of his bike parked during a rare break in his riding.

“This picture [of the bike] was taken in central Colorado, north of the town of Lead.” Matt said. “It was in the middle of a 10,000-plus-mile road trip I took during the summer of 2011, which took me from my home in Arizona to Louisiana, Florida (Key West included), back to Utah, Colorado, Sturgis and surrounding areas, Kansas City (to see my brother), through central Kansas to find my father’s birthplace, and into New Mexico on my way home.”

Whew! Quite a ride. A rider doesn’t make a trip like that unless they love their bike.

“My 2011 Cross Country is the greatest bike I've ever owned – seven over 30 years, each of which had over 120,000 miles on them when I was finished with 'em,” Matt said.

The other photo is of Matt and his bike at Mile Marker 0 in Key West.

Thanks for sharing, Matt. We trust you’re still piling up the miles. You know Matt’s a long rider from the way he signs off on emails: “Peace and high mileage!”

Let’s see you and your Victory. Send photos with information about you and your ride – and make sure you’re in the photo – to us via the Victory Mailbag.
