Happy Birthday to Arlen Ness, Legendary Custom Builder, Victory Motorcycle Dealer & Motorcycle Icon
Happy Birthday to Arlen Ness! The legendary custom builder and Victory icon celebrates his birthday July 12 with the opening of a new museum exhibit.
Happy Birthday, Arlen!
Victory motorcycle riders around the world are wishing the legendary Arlen Ness a happy birthday on Friday, July 12.
Arlen has been a vital part of Victory history throughout the brand’s first 15 years on the road, and of motorcycle history. He was first a Victory accessories supplier, and then he became a Victory design consultant. Since 2004, he has personally styled a series of limited-edition Arlen Ness Signature Series Victory models. He owns a Victory dealership in Dublin, California, and he is an avid Victory rider.
His birthday celebration will include several special events at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The museum will host an “Arlen Ness Birthday Bash” on Friday evening, July 12, in advance of the Saturday, July 13, opening of the new exhibit “Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels.” The exhibit will be featured at the museum through September 8, 2013.
Arlen will take part in a motorcycle ride-in to the museum this coming weekend to celebrate his birthday and the exhibit’s opening. In a couple weeks, he’ll climb back onto his Victory Vision custom for the annual Hamsters ride from California to Sturgis.
At the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Arlen will make appearances to sign autographs at the Victory display at Second and Lazelle. Watch for his appearance schedule details at the Victory Sturgis 2013 event page.
Arlen’s wife Bev, their son Cory and Cory’s son Zach will join Arlen, a 1992 inductee into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, at the Petersen museum events. Cory and Zach work with Arlen in the Victory dealership and the Ness custom bike, accessory and apparel business. Arlen, Cory and Zach give Victory three generations of incredible styling and custom expertise – and three generations of Victory riders.
Happy Birthday, Arlen!
