To help you make plans for Bike Week, here are the Victory Top 10 for Daytona Bike Week 2011.
1. Victory Demo Rides, March 5-12
While there’s racing taking place inside Daytona Int’l. Speedway, outside the track in the parking lot is Demo Ride Central.
The Victory Demo Ride Site is in its familiar location: In the parking lot outside turn 4 of the racetrack, inside the gate where Richard Petty Boulevard and Midway Avenue intersect.
Victory will offer demo rides Saturday, March 5, through Saturday, March 12. The first ride each day rolls off at 9 a.m., and each day’s last ride is at 4:30 p.m.
2. GoPro Camera Give-Away & Photography
When you register for a Victory Demo Ride, you’ll automatically be registered for a chance to win a GoProcamera. Cameras will be given away daily throughout Bike Week.
When you take your Victory Demo Ride, watch for the GoPro Camera Bike, from which a shooter will be taking photos of Victory demo riders. Those photos will be uploaded to the Victory website throughout Bike Week, and you’ll be able to go online and download your photo. When you register to ride, you’ll receive details about how to access your photos online.
3. Victory Bike Week Pins
Victory Riders can pick up a free Victory Bike Week 2011 pin at the Victory Demo Site or at the Victory Party. If you’re wearing Victory apparel or can show a Victory ignition key, you’ll get a free pin. This year’s pin design was selected through voting on the Victory Facebook page.
Remember: You do not need to be a registered on Facebook to visit the Victory Facebook page and see info and photos. It’s a public site, so check it out even if you’re not “on” Facebook.
4. Tuesday, March 8: Cabbage Patch
If you visit the Cabbage Patch on Tuesday, March 8, look for special Victory parking and Victory food specials. The Patch is located at 549 County Road 415 (Tomoka Farms Road), New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168-8943. It’s at the intersection of Pioneer Trail and CR 415.
5. Wednesday, March 9: Night Flasher LEDs Victory Bike Show
Wednesday’s big event is the Night Flasher LEDs Victory Bike Show at Volusia Victory. Here’s the Bike Show schedule:
• Registration (free) from 1-3 p.m.
• Judging at 3 p.m.
• Trophy presentation at 4 p.m.
There’s no entry fee, so enter your bike in the proper class – Best Victory Touring Model, Best Victory Cruiser, Best Victory Custom Chopper, and Best Other Make – and enjoy checking out all the great-looking bikes.
Prizes will include LED lighting from show sponsor, Night Flasher LEDs.
Volusia Victory is located at 1701 State Road 44, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168, and the phone number is 386-428-2212.
6. Thursday, March 10: Victory at the Drag Strip
Through the efforts of several passionate-about-speed Victory Riders, and the support of Victory, Victory Riders will be able to enjoy the drag strip experience on Thursday, March 10.
The action will take place at Speed World Orlando Dragway, 19442 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32820. To get there from Daytona Beach, take I-95 south to Highway 50, and take Hwy. 50 west to the drag strip.
Track admission on Thursday, March 10, is $10, and it costs just $5 more to run on the strip. Unlimited runs can be made from 1-8 p.m.
This is a low-key, just-for-fun day at the strip. The only things at stake – for those who are engaging in advance trash talking – are pride and bragging rights. First timers are welcome and encouraged to drop in.
The strip will be open to all brands of bikes, but bikes only, no cars. Each bike will get a tech inspection, and each rider on the strip must wear a leather, full-coverage jacket, jeans (leather pants recommended), boots that cover the ankle, full-coverage gloves and a DOT/Snell full-face helmet.
Food will be available at the track. This event is made possible through the support of Down South Cycles Racing, Lloydz Motorworkz, Bikes Blues & BBQ, and Victory.
7. Friday, March 11: Group Ride to the Victory Party
Victory Riders are invited to meet at the White Eagle Lounge outside Daytona Beach and ride as a group to the Victory Party in New Smyrna Beach.
Riders should be at the White Eagle by 10 a.m. for the ride to the party. The White Eagle is located at: 5533 N. US Hwy. 1, Korona, FL 32110, phone: 386-437-2341.
8. Friday, March 11: The Victory Party at Daytona Bike Week
The annual Victory Party at Daytona Bike Week will be held Friday, March 11, from noon to 2 p.m., at Flip Flops Chill & Grill, the same site as last year’s party.

When you register online, you will see a Thank You message on-screen that indicates your registration has successfully been submitted. You will NOT receive a separate confirmation e-mail.
Flip Flops Grill & Chill is located at: 725 E. Third Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169, phone: 386-424-0161.
This private party is exclusively for Victory Riders, who will be treated to a free lunch, courtesy of Victory.
Parking Note: With the size of the Victory group attending the party, parking space in the Flip Flops lot is limited, so only Victory motorcycles will be allowed to park in the Flip Flops lot. If a Victory Rider’s spouse or guest is on another brand of bike, that bike will need to park in the mall parking lot, which is adjacent to the Flip Flops lot. Thus, non-Victory bikes will be close by, but not inside the Flip Flops lot.
It’s easy to find the restaurant, especially if you know where Volusia Victory, the local Victory dealership, is located. From the dealership, which is located at 1701 State Road 44, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168, simply head east toward the ocean on State Road 44. The name of the road eventually changes to Third Avenue, and Flip Flops is on the south side of the street between the dealership and the ocean.
