Serving those that Protect and Serve: Police Forces Rely on Victory Motorcycles
There’s rarely a good side to being pulled over by a motorcycle cop, but if you’re unlucky enough to get a ticket from a motorcycle-mounted member of the Tyler, Texas Police Department, at least you’ll get to admire his ride. The Tyler PD is one of the growing number of law enforcement agencies around the world that ride Victory Motorcycles.
The Tyler officers, along with hundreds of others, are learning what Victory riders have known for a while — the performance of a Victory bike is unmatched. And if you happen to get a closer look at a Victory Police Motorcycle, you’ll notice that it won’t look a whole lot different from the Victory baggers and tour models ridden by civilians. That’s because it’s not. Unlike other manufacturers’ police models, Victory Police Motorcycles aren’t specially modified. Save for the paint jobs and lights and sirens, these machines are the same ones you’ll find at your local Victory dealer. Safety features like pinned floorboards, skid plates and forged steel crashbars —available to civilian Victory riders — are also found on the Victory Police Motorcycles.
The same drivetrain, suspension and handling that make rides on your Victory motorcycle so memorable enable these officers to do their jobs more efficiently on theirs — and help to keep those officers safe while they protect and serve us.
